First Halloween

Michael had such a special first Halloween. We were able to see Katie, Robby, Nolan, and Colin in their costumes!! First we met up with Nolan and saw Robby and Katie in their Halloween parades. Then, we went to see Daddy at work. After that, we caught up with Colin to get a picture of the boys together. Michael looked so adorable in his bumble bee costume. It fit him perfectly!
On the way to see Daddy, Michael found his feet while riding in the car seat. It was so neat to watch him stare at his orange socks. He kept kicking his feet and trying to reach for them for almost the entire car ride!! He is so smart and sweet. I just love him so much!

Carving Pumpkins

Last night, we had so much fun carving pumpkins for Halloween. Afterwards, we put Michael in his costume to take some pictures. Aunt Aimee gave him this bumble bee costume...he is by far the cutest bumble bee I have ever seen!!

Bath Time

These are some cute shots of Michael during his bath. I just had to style his hair that way...don't you love it!?

My Little Man

In the past couple of weeks, Michael has really become so much more interested in his surroundings. It has become difficult to nurse him during the day because he is so busy looking around and wanting to smile and play. It is such a joy to watch him discover new things!
In this picture Michael is trying to pet Clover. It is so sweet...Michael smiles everytime he sees Clover!

Happy 3 Month Birthday, Michael!!!

Happy baby, happy day! Today, was Michael's 3 month birthday. MiMi, Aunt Jillian, and Colin came over to visit in the morning and afternoon and Grandma came to visit the birthday boy this evening. Finally, Daddy came home from work around 7 P.m. and we took pictures of Michael in his pajamas with his cake. For Michael's 3 month birthday cake, I splurged and got a miniature white chocolate raspberry tart for Mike. We were having so much fun and taking so many pictures that the candles burned all the way down to the cake!! We are crazy parents who are crazy about our little Michael!! Happy 3 Month Birthday, Michael! We love you to the moon and back!! xxxooo

Michael was so much more interested in the lighted candles this month. Doesn't it look like he wants to take a big bite out of that cake? He has my dad's smile in this picture...i love it!

Thank you, PopPop!

Thanks to PopPop, Michael has a new favorite toy. I let him try this toy for the first time today and he figured it out right away. He loves kicking with his feet to make the lights and music start. This toy was given to Michael from Aimee. It was a toy that my dad had given to Katie. It means so much to me to have a little bit of something from dad. It is so wonderful how my dad's love continues to grow and shine bright in all of our lives!! I love you, Dad!

Also, Aimee gave Michael his PopPop book recently. I am so emotional over it that I haven't even been able to look at it yet! Mike has read it and he loved it. Thanks, Aimee, for a beautiful gift that I will cherish forever....it is priceless! Here is a picture of the cover-isn't it so beautiful!

GO, PENN STATE!!

Well, we all know that Mike is a Notre Dame fan. But, lets face it, Michael was born into a Penn State family...and it looks like he has already chosen mommy's team. He is such a smart boy!! GO PENN STATE!!!

Smile for the Camera, Please!!!

I have been trying to capture Michael smiling for weeks now. He is such a happy baby and smiles at me and Mike all the time. He even chuckles and laughs a little bit now. But, everytime I get my camera out to get a picture, Michael just stares at the camera in wonder! I can't wait until he will smile for some pictures.
In the first picture, I caught a little bit of a smile!

Week of Firsts!!

This has been a big week for our family! Michael is turning 3 months old on Friday and he started sleeping through the night this week. As crazy as it sounds, I miss the nighttime feedings.

Also, I went back to work yesterday for the first time. Michael spent the day with Aunt Ashlynne and Nolan (you can see great pictures of the day on Ashlynnne's blog). Ashlynne said he cried for a total of 40 seconds all day. I cried the whole way to work...it was much harder for me. I called Ashlynne 5 times during the day...I can admit, I am a total nut!! I am glad Michael had such a wonderful time...thank you Ashlynne for giving him millions of kisses!

And, for the first time, Mike put the baby to bed last night! He had no problems...Michael is such an easy going baby...and Mike is such a great dad! This is a picture of Mike feeding the baby a bedtime bottle. Mike, you are a wonderful father!!

Wagon Ride

Mike and I took Michael for his first wagon ride the other day. I sat him in the Bumbo seat to get some good pictures. Then, we laid him down to go for a walk. We only had him in the wagon for a few minutes and then we turned back to get his stroller because he loves to sit up and look around! Walking is such a great family time. We really enjoy getting some fresh air and watching Michael observe his surroundings. He is becoming more and more interested in what is going on around him, and it is fun to watch him discover new things! Michael was sound asleep by the end of our walk.
Don't you just love his camoflauge pants?!

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend, we took Michael to his first pumpkin patch. We spotted these huge pumpkins on the way home from Peddler's Village in Pineville, so we made a quick stop. Mike thinks I am crazy...anything for a good picture!! There were pumpkins there that were bigger than Michael!!

Fall Fun

We took Michael to the Scarecrow Festival in Peddler's Village this past weekend. It was such a beautiful day. Michael wore the Irish sweater that Great Grandma Mabin made him...I think he looks so sweet and adorable! I don't think he could get any cuter!!!!

Pictures with Charlie

Last weekend, I was finally able to get pictures of Michael with Charlie!! Charlie is the scarecrow on our front porch. We have had him for five years and named him Charlie when we first got him (Ashlynne thinks it is nutty that we named him, but I think that name suits him perfectly). Every fall, for the past five years, I get tons of pictures of Clover with Charlie!! I have been waiting for years to be able to get pictures of our children with him....and the time has finally come!!! It was well worth the wait. This is a picture of Michael with Charlie in his Halloween pajamas from Grandma. Also, here is a picture of Clover with Charlie in 2006. She looks like she is hiding in the corner...I bet she is annoyed to be doing this for the fourth year in a row!!

Nolan Paul

I love this picture of Nolan....he is just such a beautiful boy!!!

Michael and Nolan

Ashlynne and I took these pictures a few days ago of the boys in Michael's crib. The last picture is of them in Michael's crib when Michael first came home from the hospital. I can't believe how much they have both changed!!

Handsome Little Man

Look at my sweet little man!!
