Little Shrimps

This month, Michael started music classes and swimming. I was so excited to take him to swimming. Mike and I love swimming so, of course, I really want him to enjoy it as well. I thought he might cling to me and be a little afraid but he really impressed me at his first class. He splashed more than any other baby in the class. By the end of the class his whole head was soaked and so was mine.

Michael also loves his music class. He mostly stares around in wonder at all the other people in the class. He loves to chew on the instruments as well. He has learned how to pat on a drum and he loves to dance with me! The best part of both these classes is that we get to share all the moments with Aunt Ashlynne and Nolan. It is so much fun to see our little guys grow up together!

Let it Snow!!

Tonight, there was a beautiful snowfall. The snowflakes were big and fluffy...it was the perfect snow for making a snowman. Michael has seen little bits of snow before, but nothing this beautiful. Of course, I bundled him up and took him outside to enjoy the beauty!! He looked around in wonder as the snow kept falling in his face.

Michael did it!! He finally rolled without any help from his activity mat. It happened so quickly-I was just thrilled. I smiled and clapped so much that he smiled back at me. He was probably wondering what I was making such a fuss about. Here is a picture taken shortly after our little celebration.

Birthday Fun

It was so much fun celebrating my birthday with my family. Mom had a birthday brunch for me after church. I love bacon and eggs so that is what she made. I can remember so many mornings enjoying bacon and eggs with my Dad. Here are my birthday pictures. The birthday hat is from MomMom Brown. She got this for our family so we could all wear it for each birthday. Thanks MomMom-you're the greatest.

I love my toes!!

Michael loves playing with his toes. He is always taking his socks off and sucking and chewing on his feet. Sometimes, I think he likes to play with his feet more than his toys!! Crazy boy! Everynight, while I get him ready for bed, his feet go right up to his mouth. These are pictures of him playing with his feet.

Today, I turned 31!! I feel like 31 sounds so old, but I actually feel much younger this year. Michael has really made me appreciate so much more in my life. I take my time to enjoy every moment with him and I feel so much happier. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family. Also, a cute picture of Michael with Clover and Daddy.

Today, Michael rolled from his back to his belly for the first time!! I have been waiting for this to happen, and, of course, I was so excited. He is such a smart little guy. He used the side of the activity mat to pull himself over. I told Ashlynne about this and she said he was a real problem solver!

My best friend, Josh, had his beautiful baby boy on December 29. I have known Josh since 10th grade. We have been through so much together...marching band, Penn State, our weddings, my Dad's death and so much more. Josh has always been such a wonderful friend...he is like my brother. It was hard for me to imagine Josh as a dad, but when I went to visit him at the hospital to see the baby...he is such a natural. It really touched my heart to see Josh so in love with his little Marcus! He always impresses me and he has done it once again. Congratulations Josh and Paula!! Your baby boy is absolutely precious!!
