First Bike Ride

June 29

We took Michael for his first bike ride today. We were at the beach for vacation and we rode up and down the boardwalk. It was fabulous and a little crazy with all those bikers...it gets really busy out there! Michael loved it. He enjoyed watching all the other people and we stopped to look at the ocean. By the end of the ride, he actually fell asleep.

Today, Michael was helping unload the dishwasher. This is something we do together almost everyday. I usually give him a spoon or spatula and he will tap it on the dishwasher or put it back in the silverware holder. I had turned my back for a minute to put the glasses away and when I turned around this is what Michael was doing and he was clearly very pleased with himself!!! I was totally shocked and, of course, ran to get my camera!!

Daddy's Birthday

This is the first year we decided to celebrate Dad's birthday. We all went to Mom's house to enjoy his favortie foods. Michael did something very sweet for the first time on Dad's birthday and I think it was a little message sent from heaven. While in Mom and Dad's family room he leaned over and gave Nolan a kiss on the forehead!! It was very touching.

Learning Tricks from Clover

This is something that Michael has been doing for a while. I think he learned this from Clover. He takes a toy and puts it in his mouth and proceeds to crawl all over the house and play with other things. Every once in a while he will take it out give it a good chew and either toss it or put it right back in his mouth!! Funny!! Ashlynne took these pictures while Michael was at her house. She thought it was so riot.

Happy Father's Day

For Mike's first Father's Day, we took Michael to the park and then went to MiMi and Pop's house for a BBQ. Mike got to swim with Michael for the first time and they really enjoyed each other! Michael is such a little fish!

I am so proud of Mike for being such a wonderful dad to Michael. I always knew he would love Michael so much but when he sees Michael he just lights up! His eyes are filled with joy everytime he is with Michael! It makes me so happy to have these to awesome boys in my life.

Philadelphia Zoo

June 14

To celebrate Father's Day, we took Michael to the Zoo. We had a really great time. Michael's favorite animals were the monkeys. He loved watching them jump and swing from the tree branches. While we ate lunch, a peacock practically jumped onto Mike's lap to get some food!! It was really funny.

This is the first Father's Day I have really celebrated since Daddy died. It was a bittersweet weekend. I wish my Dad were here so Michael could see how wonderful and amazing he was...such a great family man with a huge heart!! He truly was my hero!

Pool Fun

Today was a very hot day and I had been wanting to go out and get a baby pool for Michael. So, we ran up to the hardware store to pick one up and we filled it while we ate lunch. Of course, the water was ice cold so I had the bright idea to boil water on the stove to warm up the water. I think I boiled about 12 large pots of water!!! It was all worth it because Michael had a great time.

Future Farmer??

Today, Michael and I went to Aimee's house to help her get her vegetable garden started. We took turns taking wheelbarrels filled with dirt to her planting area. It didn't take long for Michael to get right into the dirt pile. It took all the energy I had not to pull him out right away and give him a scrub down. He was covered in dirt from head to toe...and he loved very minute of it!! Looks like Michael loves gardening....Great PopPop Brown and PopPop would be so proud!!!

A day at the park

Today was a really beautiful day so we decided to take Michael to the park. He went on the slide with Daddy and I think Mike was shocked at how quickly they flew down. He loves the swing and has gotten really good in the tunnels.

7 years and 10 months

May 26

Today was our 7 year anniversary and Michael's 10 month birthday. We celebrated all day long. Michael helped Daddy in the yard while we he cleaned our front beds and weeded. Michael, Mike and I went to Mom's house and we had filet and home made french fries. Michael loved his first filet. Mike took me to see Seinfeld in Atlantic City to celebrate our big 7 years. We had a wonderful time. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband and a wonderful son.

Michael has started waving. The picture of Michael in the lawn is him waving at Daddy. Also, this is Michael's new favorite toy. Katie is pushing him around on the deck. The first day we pushed him through the house and he loved it. The next day he actually started standing up on the two foot rests while we pushed him along!!! What a little dare devil!!

Music Class

May

Music class has been such a joy!! Michael seems to learn new things every week while in class. Michael loves the songs and instruments and also loves to dance. We listen to our CD's all the time. We have a little CD player in the nursery and Michael and I will dance around the room to his music. He loves it...he just smiles and laughs.
