Happy Thanksgiving

For Michael's first Thanksgiving, we went to Grandma's house for dinner and then went to visit with the Mabin family. Uncle Gerry and Aunt Carol came to visit and it was so much fun to see them.



Michael sat in his high chair for the first time during our Thanksgiving feast!! He really enoyed playing with his toys while we enjoyed our turkey. He looked so small in his high chair.

Play Time

Michael's new favorite way to play is to sit up with the help of the boppy. He loves to grab his toys and it has really helped him get stronger. It is really amazing to watch him play....he learns things so quickly. I don't think it will be too much longer before he won't need the boppy anymore! He has also been picking up his pacifier and trying to put it in his mouth. He has been taking it in and out for a while but he can never get it back in correctly. On his four month birthday, he actually was successful at putting it back in correctly!

First Night in Crib

November 19, 2007 Tonight, was the first night I started Michael in his crib. He has napped in his crib many times, but always spends the night in the bassinet next to me. I checked on him probably about ten times until, finally, when he woke up around 3 A.M., I fed him and brought him back to his bassinet. I think it has been harder on me...I miss having him right next to me! Look at that bed head!!!

Fun with Daddy

Michael always has so much fun with Mike. Listen to him talk to Mike while they play!

Sit-Up Time

I have been trying to get back in shape. Recently, I started doing sit-ups with Michael on my belly and he thinks it is so funny! I love to watch him laugh...so it actually makes working out enjoyable!!

Giggles

This is one of my favorite times with Michael. In the evening, when I get him ready for bed, he just smiles and giggles while I get him undressed. It is something I really cherish...to see him smile when he first wakes up and to see him smile when he goes to bed. At night, when I put him down for bed, he will stop sucking on his pacifier and look up and smile at me. These are moments I never want to forget...I don't think there is anything sweeter in life!!

Cousin Love

I have been waiting for this day. Today, Michael reached out and touched Nolan's hand for the first time. It is always so sweet to see them interact with each other, but it is usually Nolan who reaches out for Michael. Nolan is very affectionate with Michael. He is always touching Michael's hair and sucking his toes. When Michael touched Nolan's hand, Nolan turned his head and smiled at Michael. It is a moment I will always remember.

Big Red

We just love Michael's red hair....and I think he looks pretty cute in this red shirt that Nolan used to wear.

I took these pictures last week before we went to Aunt Ashlynne's house. I actually was lucky enough to get a few small grins out of Michael...maybe the day is coming soon when he will smile for the camera!!

Aimee's Birthday Fun

Aimee's birthday celebration was a blast. We sent her on a scavenger hunt to find her gift...and in the end she knew what it was anyway because of the shape of the box!! She is just so nebby! These are some fun shots of the hunt!

Crazy Hair

Last weekend, Mom went away with us to a wedding in Wilkes-Barre to stay overnight and watch Michael while we went to the reception. Mom gave Michael a bath before bed....look how his hair turned out!! It is just so adorable!

Two Peas in a Pod

I love this picture...I think Michael and his Daddy look so much alike here! It is so wonderful to watch Mike with Michael when he gets home from work. Michael smiles ear to ear everytime he sees his Daddy. It is so sweet. It is so awesome to see their love grow.

Getting Stronger!!

Michael has been getting stronger everyday. He loves pulling his feet up and rolling over to his side. One of my favorite times with him is when I change him. He just giggles and smiles so much while I take his clothes off. Then, he pulls his legs up and rolls to his side and smiles and laughs until his face gets red!! It is so sweet. He is such a happy baby!

He also loves standing up. He smiles while we help to pull him to his feet. Here are some pictures of me helping him stand.

Thumb Sucking

This past weekend we took Michael to the beach for his second time. It was too windy and cold to take him out, but we watched the ocean from the house....it was so beautiful. I loved watching the rough waves with all the white caps. It reminded me of learning to swim in the ocean with Daddy!!
